Saturday, November 17, 2007 – It is well

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and that you are keeping warm or cool –as the case may be.

Jesus said to His disciples:

“I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me. [He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me.]” John 14v30 (Amplified Bible)

Have you ever had two friends who did not get along at all? Perhaps they had nothing in common or perhaps even had a history together so much so that they do not see eye to eye. We see this with Jesus, the Prince of peace, and the prince of the world. You cannot serve the two or be with the two.

Have a blessed day.

Verses for thought:
“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?” Matthew 6v23-24 (KJV)

--
Our dearest Father in Heaven,
Omnipotent God, Omniscient God, Omnipresent God, we love You. We appreciate You and thank You so much for this day that You have made, that we can rejoice and do rejoice and are glad in. We say we are grateful for all that You are doing in our lives. For watching over us and being an ever present help in trouble, we say we are grateful. We thank You because we can pray to You at all times, with all kinds of prayer. We thank You for we can be real with You, and we can pour out our hearts to You. We thank You O Lord because we have the greater One on the inside of us, and we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Hallowed be Your holy name O God. We thank You for our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in us, which we have of God, and we are not our own. May we continually glorify You O Lord in our body and in our spirit, which are God’s. We pray also O Lord for they who do not know You and pray that Thou Lord of the Harvest send forth labourers into Your harvest, for the harvest is plenteous, but the labourers are few. Thank You Father, thank You Son, thank You Holy Spirit of God. We ask all these things in Jesus mighty name we pray, amen.

Friday, November 16, 2007 - That ye may believe

Jesus said to His disciples in John 14v29 that:

"And now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass you may believe."

Have you ever had to exclaim along the lines of - oh, and he said so o, or oh, and she said so o. Hmm. The same way Jesus told His disciples many things, that they may believe when they see it being fulfilled. The same also applying to us today.

What has God told you in the past, that you have seen come to pass and exclaimed - oh, and He said so o. Remember, He is not a man that He should lie. If He said it, He will do it.

That ye may believe!!!

Have a blessed day.

Thursday, November 15th, 2007 - Missing You

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well. Hmmm. When one person is leaving a place, or another person (unless the person that is leaving is totally awful and they had been pleading for this person to leave - even in such extreme cases), there is bound to be an iota of miss. Missing the one who is leaving, and I guess the one leaving, missing the one being left. You can only imagine the disciples every cause for not rejoicing when Jesus said He was leaving - I mean, He was their world and everything they did revolved around Him. They wanted to understand His parables, be close to Him, ... But now, after all the time they had spent together - He had to leave. 'How, why, when, what ...?'
But Jesus tells them:

"Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye love Me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for My Father is greater than I." John 14v28

Why should I rejoice because Jesus has gone to His Father?

Wednesday, November 14th, 2007 - Let Not

In the book of John, chapter 14 and verse 27, there contains, two words that I absolutely adore. Those words are - rolling drums - LET NOT.

The verse says:

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. LET NOT your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

And we know that out of the heart comes the issues of life. The peace Jesus speaks of giving to His disciples here, is not the type that man gives when they tell you, oh, don't worry, I would do this or that, and so be rest assured. Nope. Its the type of peace that makes you sleep through the storms of life. Hallelujah.

Have a blessed day.

Our Father and our God,
Eternal Rock of Ages, Our Rock of refuge, Prince of peace, joy giver, how great You are. Daddy, we just thank You for Your peace at this time. Your peace that makes us smile and be as a wonder unto many, but You are our rock of refuge. Your peace that passeth all understanding, that keeps out hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Thank You for Your peace O God. Thank You Father, thank You Son, thank You Holy Spirit of God. We rest in Your peace this day, and remember those who do not know You yet, that You draw them to You. In Jesus name we pray, amen. PEACE.

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007 - The Sound of Music

I am a huge fan of the movie - The Sound of Music. I apologize to those who haven't seen it, but it is about a nun who is sent to help a Captain who has 7 children, yes 7 children, but who was a widow. There is a particular scene where the governess- Fraulein Maria, had left the Captain's home, and given her personality, she had been one to always cheer up the home and make the children feel better - even during thunder storms.

And so on this particular day, the children were unhappy, and were wondering, what would Fraulein Maria say in a situation like this. Now, the disciples were also in a somewhat similar situation when Jesus told them that He was leaving and they were sorrowful. But He left them with a promise. I mean, He was the Prince of peace, who always made things seem better - He calmed their storms, helped them rise back up when they backed down from their adventures, provided food for myriads of people, healed the sick, raised the death, and brought righteousness, peace, and joy. He thus said to them,

"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." John 14v26

Wondering what Jesus, the Prince of peace is saying about a particular situation, why don't you ask the Comforter, who is the Holy Ghost, who is in you and dwells in you.

Have a blessed day.

Monday, November 12, 2007 – His love

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well. Hope bubbling!!!

“These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.” John 14v25

One thing that is really amazing about God, is that He knows us so much – and yet He loves us so much. He knows us more than we know ourselves – our thoughts, our frailties, our weaknesses, everything. But the Word of God says:

“Trust in, lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is a refuge for us (a fortress and a high tower). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!” Psalm 62v8 (Amplified Bible)

Frankly, if you cannot be real with God, who can you be real with. Remember the widow who was asked, is all well – and she replied “it is well,” until she reached Elisha, the man of God, to pour out her fears.

“There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection].

We love Him, because He first loved us” 1 John 4v18&19

Come to Him and pour out your hearts before Him. He cares.

Have a blessed day.

Sunday, 11th of November, 2007 - I love Him. I love Him not.

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this wonderful Sunday? I hope well. May the Lord bless and increase You in Jesus name, amen.

When Judas, not Iscariot, asked Jesus, why He chose to manifest Himself to the disciples, and not unto the world, Jesus responded to Him saying that those who loved Him, will keep His words, and His Father will love Him and They two will come unto him, and make Their abode with him.

Now, a second part of His response, concerned those who did not love Him. Jesus thus said:
"He that loveth Me not keepeth not My sayings: and the word which ye hear is not Mine, but the Father's which sent Me." John 14v24

And we recall that God does not want for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. But you remember Pharaoh responding to Moses and Aaron, when they told him that the LORD God of Israel said to let His people go:

"And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go." Exodus 5v2

And now, we are without excuse to say that we do not know God, only the fool says in his heart that there is no God. Again, we see in Romans 1v29:

"For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:"

God speaks, as He always has.

Have a blessed day.

Our dearest Father in Heaven,
We thank You so much for today. We thank You for Your loving kindness and Your tendermercies. We thank You for Your love, care and protection of us. We thank You for crowning us with Your lovingkindness, and causing us to hear Your lovingkindness everyday. We bless You for Your righteousness and exalt You for Your goodness. How great You are. My Lord and My God, we thank You so much for revealing Yourself to us and pray for the grace to follow You to the end. Lord of the Harvest, once again we pray that You send forth labourers into Your harvest, for the harvest indeed is plenteous, but the labourers are few. Thank You Father, thank You Son, thank You Holy Spirit of God. We pray all these things in Jesus matchless name, amen.

Saturday, November 10, 2007 – It Shows

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well. If you love someone, it would more often than not show. Jesus in John 14v23 re-iterates again what does who love Him will do –

“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

What wonderful promises.

Heavenly Father, let my love for God increase, in Jesus name, amen.

Friday, November 09, 2007 – How?

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and that things are going on well with you – where you are. The other day, a friend of mine was tipping the chair I was sitting on backward – a real game of trust, for I had to trust that he will not let me fall. Interestingly enough, that is the same way we are with God – He being our Maker, we trusting that He will not let us go – we cannot see what is going to happen the next minute, talkless of the next second. For instance, what are the odds that as the previous sentence was being written, the computer would take that moment to do its “weekly reboot,” and called for a saving of all work, if not the work would be lost. So, we do not know what is going to happen, but God does and we bless Him for He is in control and His thoughts towards us are that of peace, and not of evil, to give us a future, a hope and an expected end.

Now, we see in John 14v22, when Jesus said He who has His commandments, and keeps them, He is it that loves Him, and His Father will love the person, and Jesus will love the person and will manifest Himself to the person. The very last phrase seemed to pique some interest for:

“Judas saith unto Him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that Thou wilt manifest Thyself unto us, and not unto the world?” (King James Version)

“Judas, not Iscariot, asked Him, Lord, how is it that You will reveal Yourself [make Yourself real] to us and not to the world?” (Amplified Bible)

What do you think?

Verses for thought:
“The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is His delight.

The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but He loveth him that followeth after righteousness.” Proverbs 15v8&9

Our dearest heavenly Father,
Good morning Daddy, Good morning Jesus, Good morning Holy Spirit of God. We thank You so much for this day which You have made, that we can rejoice and be glad in. We thank You for our lives that are in Your hands and for engraving us upon the palms of Your hands. How great Thou art. We thank You so much for crowning us with Your lovingkindness and for Your favour which You have showed toward us in not letting our enemies triumph over us. We bless You King of glory for all that You are doing in our lives and for Your thoughts towards us which are thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give us a future, a hope and an expected end. Blessed be Your holy name forevermore, in Jesus name. Lord of the Harvest, we pray too that You send forth labourers into Your harvest, for the harvest indeed is plenteous, but the labourers are few. Have Your way O Lord in our lives, even now and evermore, in Jesus mighty name we pray with thanksgiving. Thank You Father, thank You Son, thank You Holy Spirit of God, in Jesus name we pray, amen.

Thursday, November 8th 2007 - He who loves ME

Obedience is better than sacrifice. For the past few days, we have been seeing the impacts of us who have the commandments of Jesus, when we keep them, what happens to us. We saw that
1. It means you love Jesus
2. My (Jesus') Father will love you
3. Jesus will love you
4. The last one in that verse says - Jesus will manifest Himself to you.

You may be praying like Paul did - that I may know Him, the power of His resurrection, the fellowship of His suffering, being made conformable unto His death - but if someone does not open up to you, how will you get to know them. In essence, keep the commandments of Jesus, when you have them, and He will manifest Himself to you.

"He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to Him." John 14v21 (New King James Version).

Have a blessed day.

Wednesday, Novermber 7th, 2007 - He loves you

How time flies! November seems to just have started, and already, it is the 7th of November. How is everybody doing this morning? Hope good. Be of good cheer - He has overcome the world. This is just an encouragement for you to know that as you have been doing the Lord's commandment, that He loves you dearly, even as His own Father loves you. Remember that God is not unrighteous to forget your labour of love, in that you minister and do minister to His saints. Remember that even a cup of water that you have given out, will be recorded to your credit. So keep on abounding in good works, and may you work continually in those good works which God before ordained that you work in, as His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, remembering that the Holy Spirit is ever present to help you and strengthen you, and may all these works be to the glory and praise of God the Father, in Jesus name, amen.

Have a blessed day.

"He that hath My commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me: and he that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him." John 14v21

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007 - Praise the Lord

Hello everyone,
how are you doing on this day? I hope well. The Word of God says in John 14v21 that:

"He that hath My commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me: and he that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love Him, and will manifest Myself to him."

So here we see a progression. First, that when we have Christ's commandments and keep them, we show that we love Him. Again, he that loveth Jesus, shall be loved of His Father - The Most High God.

Want to be loved by Jesus' Father, keep Jesus' commandments.

Have a blessed day.

"Our soul waiteth for the LORD: He is our help and our shield.

For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name." Psalm 33v20-21

Thank You Father, thank You Son, thank You Holy Spirit of God.

Monday, November 05, 2007 – What do you do with what you have?

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well. How do you show that you love someone? Hmm… Jesus gives us a criteria for judging if we love Him or not. He says in John 14v21:

“He that hath My commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me: and he that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him.”

What are Jesus’ commandments? Well, one of His commandments can be seen in John 15v12&13:

“This is My commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

--
Our dearest Heavenly Father,
We thank You so much for today, we thank You for Your grace, for Your goodness, for Your lovingkindness, for Your tendermercies. We thank You our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We thank You for interceding for us and we thank You for preparing a place for us in Your Father’s house, so that where You are, we also can be. We thank You Holy Spirit of God. We thank You for Your comfort, we thank You for Your counsel, love, might and strength. Thank You Most High God. Lord we love You and we know that we cannot say we love God if we hate our neighbours – it means we do not even know You, for You are love. Father Lord, please grant unto us a Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Jesus, we want to know You, the power of Your resurrection, the fellowship of Your suffering and be made conformable to Your death; Holy Spirit, show us the heavenly way of doing things – that at the end of the day, we may do the commandments of Jesus and walk down the narrow path which leads to life everlasting. Eternal Rock of Ages, we pray Thou Lord of the Harvest, for those who do not know You, that You send forth labourers into Your harvest, for the harvest indeed is plenteous, but the labourers are few. We pray and ask all these things in Jesus mighty and exalted name, amen.

Sunday, November 4, 2007 – IN THAT DAY

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well. I am good and things are going well here in Boston, MA. The weather is becoming a tad bit chilly but we bless God who is able to warm us from the inside out.

The Bible says in John 14v20 that:

“At that day ye shall know that I am in My Father, and ye in Me, and I in you.”

A number of questions arise from this passage, for example – what day is Jesus referring to? Is it the day when He comes back to rapture His church, or another day? Also, how come its not certain that the disciples would know before that day, why on that particular day. Would it not be great to remember that Jesus is in His Father? If indeed we are in Jesus and He in us, would it not be great to know that and to remember that every day. Questions, questions, questions and even more so, what is the significance for us today that Jesus is in His Father, and we are in Jesus and He is in us?

Have a very blessed day.

Psalms for praise
“BEHOLD, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garment;” Psalm 133v1&2

--
Our dearest heavenly Father,
We thank You so much for today, we thank You for Your goodness, for Your faithfulness, for Your lovingkindness. We praise You for who You are and all that You do in our lives. We thank You for our lives that are no longer ours but Yours. We praise You because You are our Sole Dependency and a marvelous and faithful God. Father we pray that in anyway that we are defiling our bodies, which are Your temple, please forgive us, grant us the grace to stop every such activity and wash us clean with the precious blood of Jesus. Dear Lord, please show us what the significance of Jesus being in the Father, and we in Him and He in us mean. Reveal to us O God this thing we ask of You, in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord of the harvest, we pray too that You send forth labourers into Your harvest, for the harvest indeed is plenteous, but the labourers are few. Thank You Father, thank You Son, thank You Holy Spirit of God – all these we pray in Jesus high and exalted name, amen.

Saturday, November 3, 2007 – Our little secret

… only that it is not so little – it is partout – everywhere, and it really cannot be hidden. Jesus died and rose again, and there is no denying that.

“Yet a little while, and the world seeth Me no more; but ye see Me: because I live, ye shall live also.” John 14v19

Have a great day.

Friday, November 2, 2007 – More comfort – not orphans

Hello everyone,
How are you doing? I hope well and things are going great on your end. An encouragement – little little little things may happen to you today, tomorrow, the day after … but be of good cheer, Jesus has overcome the world.

In John 14v18, Jesus reminds us that:
“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”

“I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you.” John 14v18 (Amplified Bible)

We have a future, a hope, an expected end. Jesus is coming back for us to take us where He is – to His Father’s house. In the meantime, we have the Holy Spirit here, caring for us, soothing us, counseling us, interceding for us, bringing to remembrance the Words that Jesus spoke to us. YOU ARE NOT AN ORPHAN – but a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people.

Have a very beautiful day.

Father Lord,
We thank You so much for all the provisions of love You have made for us. We thank You for Your overwhelming presence with us. We thank You for Your love, for Your peace, for Your joy, for Your comfort. We thank You because we do have tribulation in the world, yet we can be of good cheer, because Jesus has overcome the world. We thank You for Your Holy Spirit with us, for indeed with Him … Precious Lord, we thank You for those who do not know You, and ask that You draw them into a relationship with You. We offer our lives as a living sacrifice unto You, holy and acceptable and pray that You teach us to do Your will and let Your name and Your name alone be glorified in our lives. Thank You Father, thank You Son, thank You Holy Spirit of God, in Jesus name we pray, amen.

--
Verses for thought:
“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,

Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory.” Ephesians 1v13&14

Thursday, November 1st, 2007 – But ye know Him

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well. Guess what? Today is the first day of November – only 2 months more for the end of 2007. How time flies! Daddy we thank You for January, we praise You for February, we lift You up high for March, we adore You for April, we extol You for May, we magnify You for June, we appreciate You for July, we worship You for August, we love You September, we amour You for October, we are appreciative of November and of December. Thank You Father, thank You Son, thank You Holy Spirit of God, and thank You ministering angels of God.

Jesus continues to say to His disciples, that when He is gone, He will ask the Father to send us another Comforter, who is:

“Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” John 14v17

No wonder we act all different, all peculiar – we have a different Spirit, we know a different Spirit, we walk after a different Spirit, and no other person knows Him, or sees Him or can receive Him but us.
